The world’s best boxer just added another feather to his cap–the WBC Super Welterweight belt–his eight world title!
Fighter of the Decade Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao dominated the fight and nailed a unanimous decision against Antonio “Tijuana Tornado” Margarito to win the World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Welterweight title, his 8th world title, on Saturday night, November 13, in Texas, USA (Sunday morning, November 14, in Manila).
The fight went to a full 12 rounds, with Pacquiao in control from beginning to end. The scores were 120-108, 118-110 and 119-109 in favor of our Pambansang Kamao.
The WBC Super Welterweight is the eight and newest addition to Pacquiao’s world titles namely the WBC flyweight title, the International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior bantamweight title, the Linear featherweight title, the WBC junior lightweight title, the WBC lightweight title, the International Boxing Organization (IBO) junior welterweight title and the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title.
Pacquiao now has 52 wins (with 38 KOs), 3 losses and 2 draws.
