Danica Patrick headed for COPD awareness to Capitol Hill
Danica Patrick was born in Beloit, Wisconsin to parents T.J. and Bev Patrick. She grew up in nearby Roscoe, Illinois. Her parents met on a blind date at a snowmobile event in the 1970s when Bev was a mechanic for a friend's snowmobile. Her childhood was very luxurious. she is the most popular female driver in the country isn't so comfortable in the political arena.
In NASCAR racer she recently visited for a bad disease, it is COPD which indirectly affected on her life and she will take center stage Tuesday in Washington, D.C. Patrick will be the keynote speaker of a briefing by the Congressional COPD Caucus. In USA today reported she said that she would like to bring awareness to cause nationally.
Since last year Patrick lost her grandmother to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and has been a spokeswoman for DRIVE4COPD. So that she is very exited about this disease. Her goal is people associate in November with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease awareness month as much as they notice at October with breast cancer and pink and it will be a great thing if that is happened. She added that if the bottom line is that pure awareness is going to be enough to do something about this disease and change its statistics.
