Christina Aguilera Cover the 'W' Magazine
Christina Aguilera stripped and laid bare her feelings about the breakdown of her marriage in a revealing new magazine photoshoot and interview.
"The Voice" mentor poses nude on the cover of W magazine, sporting frizzy white-blond hair extensions and holding a light sheath and a bunch of red roses against her body to preserve her dignity.
And it's not just the photos that are revealing - the singer is equally as candid in the accompanying interview, in which she opens up about her divorce from estranged husband Jordan Bratman, the father of her three-year-old son, Max.
She tells the fashion publication, "At one time or another we were not angels. It got to a point where our life at home was reminding me of my own childhood. I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home."
Aguilera admits she was not surprised by the media backlash following the news of her marriage split and her subsequent romance with Matthew Rutler, a production assistant she met last year while filming movie musical "Burlesque," but she credits her new love with helping her through the tough times.
She says, "I knew there would be a negative reaction in the press to my divorce, but I am not going to live my life because of something someone might say.
"He (Rutler) was so supportive. He still is. We've been through a lot in the past year."
